Barack H. Obama
Barack Hussein Obama II is the 44th President elect and the junior United States Senator from Illinois.
On January 20,2009 He will become the First African-American President of the United States.
Barack Obama was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Obama, Sr., from Kenya, and Ann Dunham, an American from Wichita, Kansas.
Obama spent part of his childhood in Jakatar, Indonesia. He returned to Honolulu to live with his maternal grandparents in 1971. He stayed in Honolulu until his graduation from high school in 1979.
Obama studied at: the Occidental College in Los Angeles, Columbia University in New York City, and Harvard Law School in Massachusetts. While attending law school, Obama was nominated editor in chief of the Harvard Law review. He worked for several community based organizations in Chicago,Illinois.
