On March 7, 2009 Myelproductions, Tropic Fuzion, Eddie Torres, Frankie
Morales and the Mambo of the Times Orchestra had "The Salsa Celebration."
The event took place at the Manhattan Center in "The Grand Ballroom."  It
was an evening of entertainment with great music, Salsa dancing, Awards,
Acknowledgement and Gift giving.

The Mambo of the Times Orchestra was at its best, the public was
electrified by the rhythm being played.  Eddie Torres directed and led the
“Mambo Dancers.”  It was a mix of Cha Cha, Salsa and Mambo.   Choreography,
costumes, colors were all in harmony. The dancers were radiant; they danced
with their hearts and souls.

To recap this great event:

Frankie Morales opened the show with the Mambo of the Times Orchestra
Followed by the Awards presentation:
Fund raised on behalf of the Haitian Red Cross (Hurricane Relief Funds) was
handed to the Haitian Consul in New York, Mr. Felix Augustin.

A special Award was presented to Eddie Torres commonly known as the "Mambo
King"
He has been a source of inspiration for "Salsa Lovers" throughout the
world.

Muriel Wiltord, Director of Martinique Promotion Bureau CMT/USA received an
award of appreciation for her commitment and dedication to the arts in
Martinique.  To commemorate the moment, Franck Muhel and Carole Alexis
performed the "Bélé" a dance from Martinique.

During the award ceremony, DJ Spike TI, DJ Cisco and DJ Samurai entertained
the public.

The second half of the evening was filled with more music, more Salsa, and
more dancing.
The guest artists, Frankie Vasquez, Jimmy Sabater, Ray De La Paz, and
Herman Olivera came on stage and gave a spectacular show.

Below are some comments gathered from the public.

“It was a well organized event.”     Joanna

“I felt like The Golden Days of Salsa were back to New York for good! It
was an unforgettable moment. Like a dream. I am still feeling the music,
the dance and the band in my soul. “   Ana
